Vintage JAB Anstoetz BRAVO Pop Art Fabric Panel – West Germany 55" x 34" Soup Can Textile.
Large vintage JAB Anstoetz BRAVO designer textile panel, made in West Germany and retaining its original JAB manufacturer's label and printed selvage.
The dramatic large-scale design combines deep blue drapery, ornate gold architectural elements, bold yellow, red, green and black graphic forms, and an oversized open “Condensed Beef Noodle Soup” can.
The composition has a distinctive Pop Art / postmodern aesthetic and makes an impressive piece of decorative textile design. While the soup-can imagery naturally recalls American Pop Art, we have found no documentation attributing this design to Andy Warhol, and it is not being offered as a Warhol textile.
