Original vintage Waring Model DM-4 Drink Mixer in the period Deep Charcoal color, complete with detachable power cord, screw-on lid and removable center cap.
Introduced by the late 1950s, the Waring DM-4 is a distinctive example of Mid-Century Modern American kitchen design. Unlike a conventional blender with a separate pitcher and motor base, the DM-4 combines the mixing container and motor assembly into a compact, streamlined design.
Period advertising confirms the Waring DM-4 was offered by 1959, when Deep Charcoal was one of the factory color choices.
This example has been tested and is working. The motor runs properly and the mixing blade turns smoothly.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with expected cosmetic wear from age and previous use.
The exterior shows scattered scuffs, small nicks, scratches and areas of finish wear. A previous owner etched identification numbers into the surface near the switch, as shown in the photographs.
The interior is clean.
Tested and working. The motor operates and the blade turns smoothly.
The detachable cord, lid and removable center cap are all present.
