Offered together is an unusual lot of two different vintage Pina Zangaro steel portfolio and presentation binders, both retaining their original Pina Zangaro labels and old Guggenheim Store price labels.
These are not a matched pair. They are two different Pina Zangaro designs with different sizes, binding mechanisms and original retail prices.
 
The clip binder measures approximately 10" × 12".
Constructed with substantial metal covers and an interior metal clip mechanism designed to hold presentation material, artwork, photographs, documents or other loose material without requiring a traditional ring binding.
The original Guggenheim Store price label is $36.00.
The metal surfaces show gray coloration along with substantial oxidation, rust, scratches, marks and naturally developed patina from age and use.
 
The second measures approximately 11" × 12".
This is a different Pina Zangaro presentation system featuring metal covers, a hinged spine and an interior metal ring-binder mechanism. Black presentation pages/sleeves are present as shown in the photographs.
The original Guggenheim Store price label is $50.00.
This binder has a darker, more heavily oxidized surface with extensive brown rust coloration and weathered industrial character.
ABOUT PINA ZANGARO
Pina Zangaro was established in 1989 and became known for distinctive professional presentation products for artists, photographers, designers and other creative professionals.
These vintage metal examples differ substantially from many of the company's current presentation products and appear to represent earlier discontinued designs. The exact model names and production dates have not been established.
Of particular interest, both retain original Guggenheim Store barcode/price labels, documenting that these specific Pina Zangaro products were retailed through the Guggenheim Store.
They are not being represented as products manufactured by, designed by or made exclusively for the Guggenheim. The labels establish the Guggenheim Store as their retailer.

CONDITION
Both are in vintage used condition with substantial oxidation, surface rust, patina, scratches, discoloration, marks and general wear from age and use.

The metal has not been cleaned or restored, and the naturally weathered surfaces are an important part of their present industrial appearance.
