Vintage German-Style Stoneware Tobacco Jar w/ Lid – Cobalt Blue Tavern Scene – 8"
 
Vintage 1980s–1990s lidded stoneware tobacco jar / storage canister in a classic German/Westerwald-style blue and gray palette. The jar features raised tavern/beer hall figures, beaded banding, and a domed lid topped with an acorn finial and leaf decoration. The underside is impressed with a “1/4L” capacity mark and an additional letter mark.
Size: approx. 8" tall (with lid) x 5 1/2" diameter
Condition: Very good vintage condition – no chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Minor surface/handling wear and light interior spotting/soiling consistent with age and storage (see photos).
Use: Great for tobacco, tea, coffee, or simply decorative display.
