The 48-star U.S. flag was official from 1912 to 1959 and is the version associated with World War II service.
This flag shows clear evidence of age and display, including uneven fading that suggests prolonged hanging on a wall or exterior surface. According to estate provenance, it came from the estate of a WWII service member who reported from the front in Germany.
