Original Remington UMC Revolver and Pistol Cartridges Advertising Print by Lynn Bogue Hunt. Framed.
 
Original early 20th-century Remington UMC advertising print for revolver and pistol cartridges, featuring dramatic artwork signed Lynn Bogue Hunt, one of the most recognized American sporting and outdoor illustrators of the period.
The colorful illustration depicts an anthropomorphic bear firing a revolver toward two startled bears in a bedroom, combining humor, sporting imagery and early ammunition advertising. The familiar Remington UMC Red Ball trademark appears prominently at lower left.
Below the illustration is the headline:
“REVOLVER and PISTOL CARTRIDGES — Dependable in Any Make of Arm”
The advertisement promotes the growing popularity of revolver and pistol shooting as a sport and describes Remington-UMC ammunition as being manufactured for every standard make of pistol and revolver. The advertisement identifies the company as:

The artwork is signed in the image at lower right “Lynn Bogue Hunt.” Hunt (1878–1960) became especially well known for sporting, hunting, wildlife and outdoor illustration, making his commercial advertising work particularly desirable among collectors of early American sporting art and advertising.
This is an original period printed advertisement, not a modern reproduction. The visible halftone printing pattern is consistent with period commercial magazine/advertising printing.
Presentation and Size
The original advertisement has been preserved under glass in a black wood frame and is ready for display.
Approximate framed dimensions based on the measurements shown:

The advertisement itself is approximately 9 x 7 inches visible within the frame.
Condition
Good antique display condition with age-related wear.
The original paper exhibits toning, scattered foxing and spotting, particularly throughout the lighter margins and lower portion. There is additional age discoloration and minor surface wear consistent with an original paper advertisement of this period.
The black frame shows minor scratches, small marks and general handling wear. The advertisement is protected behind glass. The reverse retains an older paper/cardboard backing with tape around the perimeter.
