Nest won the 2001 National Magazine Award for Design, and this issue is recognized as one of the period examples that helped cement its reputation for bold, experimental editorial design.
This issue is particularly interesting because it originally came with a DJ Spooky CD, described as a conceptual “sonic interior” intended to be experienced while reading the magazine.
