Three-piece set includes a White House envelope, Invitation card to a Garden Party from "Mrs. Roosevelt At Home", and an Admittance Card to the East Entrance of the White House. This event took place on Friday at 4:30pm on May 3, 1940. The condition is very good with minimal browning to the pieces. The raised Gold Presidential seal is in excellent condition. Note that this was the coat of arms seal which was used by President Rutherford Hayes turning the head of the eagle to the right towards the arrows. This design was used until 1945 when President Truman authorized a redesign. The invitation measures 4 1/2" by 3 1/2". The admittance card measures approximately 2 1/2" by 4". The envelope is approximately 4 1/2" by 3 1/2".

Since there is no printing on the reverse sides, this collection would be a very good candidate to frame, truly showing off this piece of political history.
