This lot contains five 19th-century schoolbooks found together in an old farmhouse, with matching period ownership marks suggesting they belonged to the same student—an uncommon survival group. Includes Ray’s arithmetic (copyright page shows 1877), Sanders speller (1875), Webster spelling-book (Appleton edition with 1857/1866 copyright entries), Cornell geography material, and one additional school text shown in photos.
Condition: Heavy wear consistent with age/use. Cover losses, stains, tanning/foxing. One book is missing multiple pages (see photos). Sold as one lot, as pictured.
