Original vintage Walt Disney Productions press/publicity photo for Mickey Mouse in “The Simple Things.” This black-and-white studio still features Mickey and Pluto in a fishing scene and retains the printed lower border text identifying the short, Technicolor credit, and RKO Radio Pictures distribution line. The Simple Things was released in 1953 and is recognized as the last theatrical Mickey Mouse short from the character’s original series run, giving this piece a bit more importance than an average Disney image.

A piece like this is interesting both for its subject matter and for its format. Original studio publicity stills were produced for promotional use by newspapers and magazines, and far fewer survive than later souvenir prints and reproductions. This one has strong display value, clear Disney identification, and desirable Mickey and Pluto imagery, making it appealing to collectors of Disneyana, animation art, and vintage film ephemera.

Condition
Good vintage condition with visible age and handling wear. Margin creasing/wrinkling is present, especially in the lower corners. There is some staining/discoloration in the lower center margin area beneath the title. Light edge and corner wear from storage and use. The image remains nicely displayable overall. Back side is blank.

We post up fresh material regularly, so be sure to check back often. The price shown includes shipping, making the purchase simpler and often more economical for the buyer.
