Original 1938 “Visit the USSR” Intourist travel and tourism booklet, printed in Moscow, Soviet Union, complete with its original loose 1938–1939 Intourist tour-rate insert.
An outstanding piece of pre-WWII Soviet travel, tourism and advertising ephemera, produced by Intourist to promote travel by foreign visitors throughout the USSR.
The colorful front cover depicts Moscow's Kremlin, Spasskaya Tower and Lenin's Mausoleum, with a red Soviet star prominently displayed above the Kremlin.
Inside are numerous period photographs, maps and detailed descriptions of travel throughout the Soviet Union, including:

Especially interesting is the surviving loose Intourist rate sheet advertising a 20% reduction on suggested tours.
The sheet is specifically dated:
October 15, 1938 to April 15, 1939
It lists prices for numerous Intourist tours in First Class, Tourist Class and Third Class, along with additional rates for travel between Leningrad and Moscow.
The insert provides excellent documentation for dating this particular booklet to the 1938–1939 pre-WWII period.

CONDITION: Complete with original loose rate insert. Good vintage condition with expected age and handling wear, including cover and edge wear, light soiling/toning, corner wear and minor creasing.
