1933 New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles Paperwork Lot for 1932 Plymouth Coupe

A fascinating surviving lot of 1933 New Jersey motor vehicle paperwork connected to a 1932 Plymouth Coupe, including the original documents shown in the photographs. Visible forms include Department of Motor Vehicles Bill of Sale Law Division Assignment paperwork and a Certificate Permitting Title Papers to Be Filed, all appearing to relate to the same vehicle.

The best part of this lot is that it is not just one isolated piece of paper. It appears to preserve a portion of the car’s transfer and title trail, with named buyers/sellers, dealer references, motor vehicle agent notations, and vehicle identifiers that anchor it firmly to a real 1932 Plymouth Coupe. That specificity is what gives the lot its appeal. It works as automobilia, paper ephemera, New Jersey local history, and even as a conversation-piece framed display.

Public market references for comparable old auto paperwork are limited and not exact, but the closest examples I found were a 1942 New Jersey DMV bill of sale at $10 and a 1951 Kaiser Henry J bill of sale plus owner paperwork at $36. Because this lot is earlier, involves a recognized make, and includes several related documents, it deserves a stronger position than routine single-sheet paperwork.

Condition:
Vintage condition with visible toning, folds, creasing, edge wear, staple holes, and handling wear from age and storage. Included is what is imaged and only what is imaged. Best suited for collectors, research, or display.

With nearly 5 decades in this industry, we know that lots like this often appeal because they tell a story, and this one does. If you have any questions about the item you are viewing, please email us and we will be happy to provide answers.
