A substantial early 20th-century equestrian reference covering horses, racing, hunting, horsemanship, breeding, conformation and practical horse care.
The volume is richly illustrated with photographs, drawings, diagrams and color sporting plates, with artists represented including A. J. Munnings, G. D. Armour, Snaffles, Lionel Edwards, Cecil Aldin and G. Holiday.
The book includes a photographic plate of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales on “Little Favourite” and carries a printed dedication to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.

CONDITION
Complete, but in heavily worn condition.
The binding is loose. Red cloth covers have substantial rubbing, fading, staining, spotting and edge/corner wear. Gilt lettering is heavily faded.
Interior exhibits extensive age toning, foxing, spotting and moisture/water staining, including staining along page margins. Some pages have heavier foxing and discoloration than others.
Previous owner's handwritten name and 1935 date appear inside the front cover.
Despite the condition issues, the book is complete through page 308 and retains its illustrated material and color plates.
