Original 1915 first edition of Carranza and Mexico by Carlo de Fornaro, published in New York by Mitchell Kennerley during the Mexican Revolution.
This copy is complete and retains the remains of its original 1915 publisher's dust jacket, now separated into multiple pieces as photographed. Early dust jackets were frequently discarded, making the survival of the original jacket material noteworthy even in its present condition.
Published while the Mexican Revolution was still unfolding, the book provides a contemporary account of Venustiano Carranza and the revolutionary struggle in Mexico, with chapters addressing Francisco Madero, Victoriano Huerta, Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, Álvaro Obregón, the landing of American Marines at Veracruz, revolutionary campaigns, Mexican land reform and President Woodrow Wilson's Mexican policy.

The dedication is to President Woodrow Wilson, reflecting the importance of U.S.-Mexican relations during this period.
Condition: Book is complete. Original green cloth hardcover retains gilt lettering to the front board and spine. Binding shows age-related rubbing, discoloration and wear, including fraying/loss at the lower spine. Interior shows expected age toning and occasional spotting.
The original dust jacket is extremely distressed and separated into several pieces, with tears, substantial edge losses, missing areas, toning, brittleness and general deterioration. All surviving jacket pieces shown in the photographs are included. They have been left unrepaired and as found.
